DeWolf Tavern

What a wonderful surprise dinner - Scott and I went to Dewolf on July 14 to see the sunset at Bristol, on the water. This place surprised us since the food is a blend of New England and Indian food - wow! The broccoli rabe cornbread hash (side) was so good I didn’t let the waiter walk away with the plate. ha! I ordered the seafood stew (Ibri?) with lobster, scallop, shrimp, mussels, littlenecks, which was in a delectable yummy sauce with hints of exotic coconut, coriander, tamarind, cumin, Thai basil leaves, and more. Dipping some chunky french bread was the best. Scott had the sea scallops seared with a spice tinged with peppercorns? i think. We drank “Sophias” before our app, prosecco, creme de cassis, and Grand marnier. With the entrees I drank a glass of red (cali zin) and Scott had a glass of pinot. We would definitely go back, but I don’t think a traditional new englander would love this place.
