Mikla in istanbul

This meal at Mikla was July 27, 2006 - but we can still recall all the minarets lit up for a religious holiday that night, and the incredible view of the city from the seventh? floor of the Pera Hotel. The food was like something we could get at a swanky place in Boston, but we were in istanbul! Scott characterized the staff as cold but attentive, that captures it. We wanted a more authentic Turkish dining experience so the next night we went to Bebek Backi in the Bebek area of istanbul and had fresh seafood right on the Bosphorus!
