What a surprise this place was for my mom and myself. We walked in without a reservation around 7pm on a Sat, and the hostess sat us in 5 min even though anyone else who came in had to wait 20 min. Amazing, maybe they saw a mother/daughter pair and wanted us to feel special! Well, we shared a plate of their special Lobster Ravioli, delicious cream sauce and the raviolis were filled with fresh lobster, I was very impressed. We each had a glass of Manetto (sp?) Pinot Grigio which was a perfect dry white wine for all the seafood we were about to consume. I ordered the Zarzuela which came with 4 toast points of village bread with olive oil and garlic to dip in the broth (sauteed in olive oil, onions, peas & sweet peppers with clams, mussels, scallops, calamari, shrimp, lobster & prosciutto, finished with a lemon saffron broth with roasted almonds. DELICIOUS, too bad I had to leave the leftovers behind when I left NY on Sunday morning! My mom ordered the special stuffed salmon (crabmeat filling) with saffron rice and veggies. It was sooo much, she barely ate quarter of it. Nonetheless, the leftovers the next day were just as yummy as I heard from my mom + dad. I would definitely return to this place, what a great find in Albany!
