Scott and I are taking a “babymoon” to Spain the first 11 days of Jan 2007! yay!! I am very excited about this trip for a couple of reasons. One is I have always wanted to go to Spain and almost went in 1995 but went to grad school instead. Then anytime Spain came up with Scott we’d choose some caribbean destination instead (poor me). So finally, I get to go! The second reason we are going is that Scott and I are expecting (due date is July 3, 2007) so Scott is being extremely nice to me and wants to keep me happy, and tapas in Barcelona is it!

We are in Barcelona the first 5 nights, staying at the Hotel Arts, then we head to the island of Mallorca for 4 nights staying at Castillo Hotel Son Vida (only a 40 min plane ride from Barcelona) then head home.

I figure we will see the big hot spots (Sagrada Familia church by Gaudi) , the Dali home in Figueres, Montserrat, and the big name museums (Picasso, national museum, etc). I will likely concentrate on the food (tapas, chocolate donuts for breakfast, and paella of course).
