melanzane affumicatio at Piattini’s on Newbury
ahhhh, Piattini on Newbury st! It has never disappointed me, been there maybe 5 times over past years and always leave happy. Its a tiny slice of Italia in Boston, just like sitting in a small ristorante in Roma, Scott and I were sighing as we sat and sipped on wine + cranberry juice for me! We would have been more than satisfied with the olives in pesto and cheese and bread. But then the mussels arrived with the eggplant dish you see above. I don’t know about you, but normally I am not a big eggplant fan, but pregnancy changed me. This layered cheese + eggplant dish covered with creamy tomatoe sauce is delicious.
