The Back Eddy

So were all set to go to a place called Marguerite’s but they gave our table away (even though we had reservations, what the?) so I made the call to my fav place in Westport - The Back Eddy - and they sat us in like 30 min!

We have been here many times over the years, and I have never had a bad meal. This past Sat, was great dinner since my in-laws were with us and our travel buds Denise + Frank. We all shared the Thai mussels (spicy to make baby arrive sooner), deep fried cheese with figs, oysters (too bad I couldn’t have some!) and my main entree with the 1.5 pound lobster with steak fries (OF COURSE!).

How yummy, everything was incredible as usual, including the views on the water and the beautiful wood beadboard ceiling in the bar area with glass jellyfish hanging around us.

The finale was a strawberry shortcake (really was yummy, fresh whipped cream, sweet fresh strawberries, and a slightly salty shortbread which complemented the sugary strawberries perfectly) and a delish capuccino!

Go here as often as you can, you won’t regret it! They are or used to be connected to the East Coast Grill in Cambridge, MA - one of my top fav dinner + BRUNCH places in Boston, along with the world’s best margarita!
