I really had an OVERABUNDANCE of lobster mania this past weekend, and my favorite meal was the last one, at Azu in Mystic, CT. Their special lobster BLT with amazing small crispy fries was super delicioso! Scott loved his fish and chips, but the topper was the grapefruit margarita and a very cool waitress who kept making Sofia smile the whole time we were there. I loved the decor and the details, like tiny white ceramic cups for condiments like ketchup and tartar.
Back to lobster 4 ways - it all started Friday night at the Norwich Inn with room service of lobster beggar’s purse from Kensington dining, YUM, the creamy sauce and crepe with red caviar was unbelievable for a room service meal, and scott loved his beef tenderloin, and we shared tuna sashimi with a green tea soy sauce on the side. On Sat I got the lobster salad at the spa, then had the pan roasted lobster for our anniversary dinner with friends at Jasper White’s Summer shack at Mohegan Sun. My mother-in-law recommended the meal and it was very good, although a little messy since you have to open up buttery lobster claws with your hands. (Scott and I celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary on Sep 22!).
